A Life of Dichotomy
Astrology gives us a system to understand and make sense out of the polarities of our dual existence. There is always an opposite of what we can perceive! Light to darkness, love to fear, expansion and contraction; you can find examples for it on all levels of physical creation.
When I look into a chart and how the planets are dispersed in it, I always give attention to the opposite sign because it holds the key to balance. Every wheel of the zodiac shows the point of the potentiality of oneness in the center. We can indeed tap into that point of transcendence of the outer themes indicated by the 12 signs around the center. We can achieve that by paying attention to the opposite sign. Each sign and its expression in our life will only be complete and balanced by having integrated the opposing qualities of the opposite sign.
The Significance of the Capricorn Full Moon Lunar Eclipse Sun in Cancer
When we look at the Sun and the Moon we look at two opposing forces.
The Sun is representing our male expression, our conscious mind, the way we express ourselves through our actions and our self image and identity. We are aware of the Sun as a conscious, life giving force for all of us.
The Moon is representing our female receptivity, our unconscious mind and might surprise us once in a while with emotions rising up and flooding our experience out of the blue as it seems. Moon is our way of perceiving the world through our feelings and connects us with an enormous field of potentiality in the collective unconsciousness. That way Moon is feeding our creativity and fills our well with delicious new thoughts and ideas.
But we have another pair of opposing forces here with Capricorn and Cancer. The Moon is the ruler of the Cancer sign and is situated in its opposing sign for this Full Moon. This will shake us up and stir the pot! New Moons and Full Moons are usually much enhanced points of emotional impact to begin with. It is very beneficial for our own conscious attunement with the universal forces to keep an eye on the changing Moon throughout the month.
The Capricorn Lunar Eclipse
During a Lunar Eclipse the earth is in between the Sun and the Moon blocking the light radiating from the Sun to be reflected by the Moon.

In Saturday's early hours, the Gemini-Sun (conscious will) and Aquarius-Moon (heart) will harmonize, encouraging an easy flow of energy between our volition and core motivations. What a perfect introduction to a celestially promising weekend!

Seven hours later, at 9:47 a.m. (Eastern), the Moon blends energies with Chiron (the wounded healer), the first of three spiritual heavenly bodies she will combine forces with on this day. Her meeting with Chiron bestows inner awareness of deeply-rooted structured ways/thought processes that need changing or old wounds that need healing.

Less than an hour later, at 10:21 a.m., the Moon unites with Neptune (the enlightened one), where we are granted the ability to delve into the farthest recesses of our minds and souls. Reconnect with the parts of ourselves we've neglected or forgotten or never knew or given up on. As 11:33 a.m. approaches, the Moon mixes it up with Jupiter (the lucky one), allowing us the opportunity to make good on what we've uncovered the past couple of hours.

By late afternoon, the Moon makes her last alignment in Aquarius by antagonizing Mercury (mind) and forcing us to shift our thought-process to something new/unconventional or, at the very least, incite enough curiosity to provoke the mind.

Early in the evening, the Moon enters Pisces where our imagination can run wild and the subleties of life are more apparent. The Moon quickly aligns herself with Pluto (transformation) just as Mercury (mind) re-enters Gemini (curious/cerebral). As we sleep that Saturday night, our subconscious fill with dreams of what was stirred throughout the day -- memories, hurts, renewals, shifting ways of thinking, envisioning a change, solidifying goals ...

We wake to a Sunday morning with the Pisces-Moon harmoniously aligned to Venus (relationships), followed by an agreeable link with Mars (drive/motivation) in the early afternoon. May our actions (Mars) be driven by the hopefulness (Pisces) we feel (Moon) within the significant relationships (Venus) present in our lives.

Let's rewind back to Saturday In practical terms, how does Saturday's Moon conjunctions to Chiron, Neptune, and Jupiter benefit and/or influence us, and how we do get the most use of what is being offered to us? This party of four occurs in the electric sign of Aquarius, which is known for its innovation, forward-thinking, and unpredictable ways. So, let's be bold and bravely sift through our subconsicious and psychological baggage, lighten our loads, and make room for a much needed and wanted present and future! The Aquarian energy may surprise us with finding unconventional solutions to common problems or long standing issues.

As for myself, I recognize that "I" am one of the bigger reasons holding myself back.

The coming together of Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron (the healer) is this millennium's Star of Bethlehem, says astrologer Mark Borax. It's the launchpad to 2012 and the full emersion into the Age of Aquarius. And it's happening now and into early June! If we open ourselves to it, finer Aquarian energies are on the way to work their healing magic. It's an ignition point, says Mark, to speed the evolution, as we burn away eons of karma, and go below the surface, to the essence of who we are. Writes Mark, "Another being lives inside the dull trapped one, a silvery-blue radiance that shines brighter when the way ahead is uncertain and we need to steer by inner light."
And with this triple conjunction, he invites us to get past the cloud of gloom, and focus on the rays of light. He writes, "Regardless of your birth sign, the Aquarian in you-the future being in you that your old self was an early prototype of, gets the go-ahead to come out, come out wherever you are." As everything falls apart, the time is right to crack open to the new. Writes Mark, "Dowsed by this powerful celestial event, old stories have to change or die. Old structures fail. Old stories give way to deeper stories of the soul that were always hidden within them."
The mystery of who we're meant to become was told in Mark's book, 2012: Crossing the Bridge into the Future. In it, he draws readers into the presence of master astrologer Ellias Lonsdale, who becomes his mentor. Together and through the College for Wizards and Visionaries, they're offering a mini Tele-class starting June 3rd called Catalyzing the Ignition Point, with details available through Mark Borax' website. The course is a chance for a far-flung audience to use the miracle of skype or the telephone, to hear Lonsdale "spin a profound multidimensional story of who we are and what's being asked of us by higher powers." It's a chance to see past the illusion and our own karma, and reach for a higher understanding of what we're all going through.

Neptune is in retrograde starting today and through November 4th. Neptune is in Aquarius, the sign of circuitry, networks and frequencies....including the vibes we pick up around us without knowing why. When Neptune is in retrograde, writes, Lynn Koiner the intuitive radar is heightened, giving us those "psychic hits" that come out of the blue. In Aquarius, these sudden flashes bring light to how things are related, or the detached birds-eye view of what's really going on. Koiner writes, "Neptune rules denial! When Neptune turns retrograde, our feelings are more astute at picking up and perceiving the illusive."
The Aquarian leaps of logic can be made more easily during this retrograde. Doors open and suddenly, we just know and resonate with formerly hidden knowledge. Aquarius rules evolutionary leaps, and we may see sudden mass awareness of our true potential....the breakthrough that will help humanity progress beyond the swampy malaise we seem stuck in. It's been called the 100th Monkey effect, where when one monkey learns something new, others do too, even when they are separated by vast distances. There is disillusionment in the air, especially in America, where Neptune is hovering over the U.S. Moon. After the illusions are seen and acknowledged, though, there's a chance to create a new "reality."
In this disorienting time, Neptune's alignment with Jupiter can lead to exaggerations, distortions and blind optimism. Many of us may decide to check out and stay in a fog of drugs and television. But this makes you vulnerable to the strange psychic shadows that are moving in the collective, with the side-effects of paranoia, anxiety and irrational fear. Keep things simple and keep your antennae clear, so that you can read the signals coming in. To protect against bad vibes, Koiner recommends black tourmaline. And, she writes, "It is essential that you talk about what you are feeling, sensing or absorbing because Neptune retrograde can produce a type of psychic overload for very sensitive people." Sometimes I'll sage myself after coming home, especially if I've been around a lot of people. Being in nature, listening to music, reading, working up a sweat....find what works for you. And give yourself lots of time to wind down and let go of what's been picked up during the day.

There will be some critical days in the middle of the first and last decade of June 2009. As to the rest, it'll be ok.

You'll speak and write passionately, you'll be amazingly persuasive, you'll avidly take in information and your intellectual energy will be at its peak.

It'll be a good period for changes and initiating procedures, for conceiving and writing, attending courses and having auditions, selling, negotiating, having transactions or launches, meeting people and starting collaborations.

There's a profitable interest, but also stressful, related to home, buildings, lands or durables.

Pisces Physical Mental Fitness Horoscope In June 2009

You'll be in shape and feel the need to move, and if it gets to you that it's worth it, you can flawlessly mobilize physically.

my beau said i seemed irritated yesterday. i didn't think i was irritated, but i was annoyed at everything, and scheming to force situations into the way i expect them to go. coupled with the mercury retro where plans and communication are skewed, natch, i'm about to blow.

There's a global synch up this weekend with echoes of the harmonic convergence. It's timed with what Mayan scholar Carl Johan Calleman says is the mid-point in the 6th Day of the Galactic Underworld. To find out what that means, and his take on this precarious time between death and rebirth, check out his article, Rebirth Celebration.
Below Calleman's article is one by Joseph R. Giore, who sees real signs of a new Earth emerging with values of networking, sustainability and collaboration. If we're teetering on the brink, it's critical to avoid recreating the old values (i.e. greed, separation from nature, race to the bottom, scarcity), because it won't work anymore. Writes Giore, Now is the time we've been waiting for. It's not in 2012 or some other imaginary date in the future. It's about now; it is now. If you're interested in taking part in this virtual moment, there's more info at The Rebirth Concordance: Coming to Life.

You always hear the usual stories of pennies on the sidewalk being good luck, gifts from angels, etc. This is the first time I've ever heard this twist on the story. Gives you something to think about.Several years ago, a friend of mine and her husband were invited to spend the weekend at the husband's employer's home. My friend, Arlene, was nervous about the weekend. The boss was very wealthy, with a fine home on the waterway, and cars costing more than her house. The first day and evening went well, and Arlene was delighted to have this rare glimpse into how the very wealthy live. The husband's employer was quite generous as a host, and took them to the finest restaurants. Arlene knew she would never have the opportunity to indulge in this kind of extravagance again, so she was enjoying herself immensely! As t he three of them were about to enter an exclusive restaurant that evening, the boss was walking slightly ahead of Arlene and her husband. He stopped suddenly, looking down on the pavement for a long, silent moment.Arlene wondered if she was supposed to pass him. There was nothing on the ground except a single darkened penny that someone had dropped, and a few cigarette butts.Still silent, the man reached down and picked up the penny. He held it up and smiled, then put it in his pocket as if he had found a great treasure. How absurd! What need did this man have for a single penny? Why would he even take the time to stop and pick it up?Throughout dinner, the entire scene nagged at her. Finally, she could stand it no longer! She casually mentioned that her daughter once had a coin collection, and asked if the penny he had found had been of some value.A smile crept across the man's face as he reached into his pocket for the penny and held it ou t for her to see. She had seen many pennies before! What was the point of this?"Look at it." He said."Read what it says."She read the words "United States of America""No, not that; read further.""One cent?""No, keep reading.""In God we Trust?""Yes!""And?""And if I trust in God, the name of God is holy, even on a coin. Whenever I find a coin I see that inscription It is written on every single United States coin, but we never seem to notice it!God drops a message right in front of me telling me to trust Him? Who am I to pass it by? When I see a coin, I pray, I stop to see if my trust IS still in God at that moment. I pick the coin up as a response to G od; that I do trust in Him.For a short time, at least, I cherish it as if it were gold. I think it is God's way of starting a conversation with me.Lucky for me, God is patient and pennies are plentiful! When I was out shopping today, I found a penny on the sidewalk. I stopped and picked it up, and realized that I had been worrying and fretting in my mind about things I cannot change.I read the words, "In God We Trust," and had to laugh. Yes, God, I get the message. It seems that I have been finding an inordinate number of pennies in the last few months, but then, pennies are plentiful! And, God is patient...Have a blessed day!.

Are You a Cancer

just found this personality description about a cancer, and that just exactly how i am. everything that i bold, is true.

Cancer is a Cardinal water sign, ruled by the moon. As the fourth sign of the zodiac, the Cancer individual is a deeply emotional person inside, but is smooth and confident on the outside. Their first love is of home and family and they are nurturing and caring in the family setting, creating a cozy, comfortable, safe existence behind the doors of their own home. Famous and historical characters sharing this sign include Princess Diana (July 1), Nelson Mandela (July 18), and O.J. Simpson (July 9). Although many Cancer personalities make a real mark on the world, they are emotionally never far from home and hearth. Home and family give the Cancerian strength and stability, and the home is the safe "shell" that the Cancer individual knows he can retreat to after a long, stressful day. Cancer is strongly rooted and often thinks of the past, holding onto mementos and thinking about his childhood. Emotions run deep in the Cancer individual, and even small slights resonate down to his very core. When hurt or disappointed, Cancer will retreat completely into his shell and become unreachable for a period of time. Cancer is generous and kind to others, but will cautiously wait when he confronts a problem to make sure that he doesn't waste valuable resources. In the end, he will come through and help generously if no other option presents itself. Though possessing a good sense of humor and loving a good joke, the Cancer personality will often become sulky, moody, and irritable for no reason apparent to anyone else. This is just a manifestation of those waters that run so deep in the Cancer individual. Cancer weighs every move carefully, almost never doing things spontaneously, and as a result, he is usually successful in his endeavors. When he fails, he will brood about it for a long time, and will almost never just shrug it off and try again.
For those with a cancer child, you have a loving kid with a long memory, who never forgets an emotional event. Cancer children are well-attuned to their surroundings, almost from birth, and can detect any unsettled atmosphere in the home, making it important to keep home life as stable and serene as possible. Anything associated with well-being, such as food and comfortable surroundings are extremely important to the Cancer child, and if they don't like something such as carrots or a certain set of sheets, remove them and don't attempt to present them to the child again any time soon. This child's reasoning for their dislike, however absurd it seems to you, is coming from a deep, emotional place and you are unlikely to change their minds or make matters better by forcing things on them. Cancer kids are deeply attached to their parents, whether the parent is good or bad, and will be affected emotionally for life by the actions of their parents. Once the Cancer child becomes older, he will likely hoard toys, candy, or whatever else appeals to him, often carefully preserving his trophies in their original packaging. A room with a lot of open shelf space would suit a Cancer child well. Going to school at first will be fairly traumatic for a Cancer child, but with a strong, loving home to return to every day, he will get over this in fairly quick order and become a compassionate and caring friend for his school mates.
Adults under the Cancer sign will be dedicated workers, and will do well at keeping their work and home lives separated. If you have a co-worker with an office full of family photos, you can be sure you are working with a Cancer individual. Cancers do best in jobs where they can nurture others. They have the imagination and intuition to feel what others are feeling and therefore make good human resource employees, trainers, or medical personnel. They are usually not ecstatic about change, so a stable job environment is a positive for Cancer. All in all, the Cancer individual will provide you with a strong, diligent, stable worker who empathizes with co-workers and does a good job with his assigned tasks.
If you have found a romantic partner in a Cancer, you have a caring, insightful, and sentimental partner indeed. Although your Cancer will demand complete honesty and fidelity from you, be aware that it is not above him to dally once in a while himself. Rest assured, though, his real roots are with those to whom he has made a commitment. Cancerians are the most nurturing sign in the zodiac, with a deep-seated need to care for others, and as such will make an excellent caretaker of both the home and the children. Some might find the Cancerian's lavish attention a bit smothering, however, and if Cancer does not feel their efforts are appreciated, they will fall into a deep funk that may be quite hard to reverse. Many find Cancer individuals difficult to understand, as their emotions sometimes overrule their more sensible side. In order to have a successful relationship with a Cancer, one must choose to accept mood swings and the occasional need that their Cancer partner has to withdraw completely at times. Your Cancer partner equates money with security, and along with providing a comfortable home, will also likely see to it that there is a comfortable nest egg in reserve too.
The best matches for Cancer for sure are Scorpio and Pisces. but Taurus, Leo, Gemini, and Virgo might work for some individuals. It will likely be tough going for Aries, Libra, Capricorn, or another Cancer.
Cancer in any relationship is nurturing and caring, but with deep mood swings and a sharp tongue when provoked. Cancer seeks out others who are stable and loyal, and who want to focus on home and family. The Cancer individual will be cautious with money and will likely have some cash stashed away for a rainy day. He will also be a collector of something, maybe antiques because of his emotional ties to the past, but possibly something such as coins or model cars or shot glasses. Your Cancer friend will help you if you are in need, but will almost always wait until the last minute to do so, after waiting for you to exhaust all other possibilities. Just remember, the by-words for Cancer are "I feel," so be careful to emit good vibes around your Cancerian friend and you will be richly rewarded.

This is my daddy. Isn't he handsome? And extra cute because he's so proud in this picture? I know. It's true.

Today is his birthday. In celebration, here are the top 10 reasons I'm glad he's my dad.

10. Growing up, he would randomly play music loudly throughout the house at unexpected moments. His favorites were Billy Ocean's "Get Outta my Dreams, Get Into my Car" and Mormon Tabernacle choir's "For Unto Us a Child is Born." I always loved it. It was fun.

9. I really did always think he was the biggest, strongest, most handsome dad anyone ever had. I still do.

8. He never allowed us to talk back to our mom. It's one of the best gifts he gave us.

7. He's recently found himself in a brand new set of circumstances. I've never been more impressed by him. He didn't freak out. He just went about adapting and finding the next thing with style.

6. Once when I was little, I threw up all over the bathroom floor and he cleaned it up. I used to get really scared when I was sent to bed, and I have a very vivid memory of him telling me how he used to get scared too and telling me what to do. He came this last summer and suffered in sweltering heat to redo my closet. When I need anything, my dad's the first person I think of.

5. Eagles (the animal), The Steelers, Obsession (the cologne), green Ford trucks, and the smell of sawdust all remind me of my dad.

4. My dad and I haven't always gotten along or been able to communicate. But I've always known he loved me. And that has added more safety to my world than I can express.

3. My dad thinks I'm way more amazing then I really am. Because he thinks so, I try to be.

2. His hugs are the very best. Ever.

1. We are both addicted to Reese's Peanut Butter cups. We both get angry as a way to hide our vulnerability. We both love deeply. I am my father's daughter. And am so grateful.
